The weekly report is here, although it's late, just like my encounter with COVID-19.
- I welcomed the first sunshine in my life, and it happened to be on Saturday, the day I was going to a concert. From lower back pain to overall body soreness, and then to feeling cold all over, the progression and intensity of the pain exceeded my imagination. These past two days, besides having a fever of 39 degrees and body aches, I had no sense of awareness. I was sweating in bed, but the good thing is that my body temperature went down. Although I felt sticky all over, I couldn't care about that anymore. I also want to thank my friend for making me ginger soup with brown sugar, which helped me sweat it out smoothly.
- On Saturday, I went to the concert. My friends came from Inner Mongolia and Hebei, but who could have expected that our plans would be disrupted by the sudden outbreak of COVID-19. I started vomiting when we went out for lunch, and when we arrived at the restaurant, I couldn't eat anything except for the greasy taste. In the end, I asked the waiter to bring me raw eggs and drank them with hot water. After finishing the meal, we went to the venue. I felt so uncomfortable that we had to call a seven-seater SUV to take us there. Something magical happened. When we were close to the venue, I suddenly regained some consciousness and had a feeling of a last hurrah. In a little over an hour, I was able to watch the first half of the concert. During the second half, I couldn't sit still. My whole body was in pain, feeling cold and dizzy. My mind was filled with questions about why I had to collapse on this day.
- On Thursday, I had a business trip to Shijiazhuang. I haven't specifically visited this city before. The only time I think I passed through was when I was transferring trains. My impression of Shijiazhuang is that it's always hazy and full of smog. I also forgot when was the last time I went there, but this time, my visit to Shijiazhuang was quite surprising. The building where I met the client was very high-tech, and the elevators required appointments. In comparison, office buildings in Beijing seem cramped. Moreover, the business building and the shopping mall are right next to each other, making everything very convenient. Now, whenever I leave Beijing, I feel comfortable in any city I go to.
Summary:
COVID-19, please go away quickly. I really can't bear it anymore.
